This is my final digipak and poster. I have made small
adjustments and alterations in order to hopefully gain full potential marks. To
begin with I have changed the title of my album to ‘Parallel Lines’ from
‘Troubled Town’. A change in name was suggested by my teacher in order to have
the pattern of the two lines (~) to connate with my album name and portray a
sense of meaning between the two. Doing this allowed me to keep a simplistic
look and the audience could still relate to both pieces. Furthermore I decided
to stick to the colour scheme of teal, white and black. Like previously
mentioned the colours work well and the white/teal font stand out effectively
on the plain black background.
On my digipak I have made a lot of adjustments. Firstly in
my feedback there was a suggestion to remove the band logo from the inside
cover and involve something else. Therefore I decided to use the parallel lines
on the cover, adhering to the colour scheme still. I believe that this looks a
lot more suited to the digipak and adds a sense of interest and
professionalism.
I like the colour scheme of the digipak and the poster, I think that they all work well together with the white and cyan text on the black background, the text stands out really well and can be easily read. I also like the simplistic look of the digipak, the text on the front cover works really well with it positioned in the middle as it draws the attention of the audience. I like how this layout is consistent throughout the digipak with the text on the back cover and the pattern on the inside left also being positioned in the middle of the panel. I like the poster as well I think that the image links well with the digipak and I think that all of the text is sized well and looks good.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a great attempt at a poster. The colour scheme suits the style of music so well its almost unreal. The text stands out on the front cover and this is positioned in the centre of the poster so this draws the attention of the audience. The layout is very consistent throughout and the image on the poster links well with the image on the digipak, the text is also positioned well.
